Case Summary

Expert Witness Team

Hogan & Thompson, a Houston law firm, needed a team of experts to substantiate their client’s claim that midstream energy company Energy Transfer should pay for additional drilling and production costs caused by Energy Transfer’s injection of natural gas processing waste byproducts in the subsurface. NTG Auburn provided a 6-person team, 2 of which testified at the trial in Tilden, TX. The jury found that Energy Transfer trespassed by interfering with the exploration and production rights of Hogan & Thompson’s client and the jury awarded their client a total of $17.3 million.

Facility Optimization

An established operating company wanted to ensure that their production facilities in the southern Eagle Ford were constructed to code and optimized for both fluid flow and emission reduction. NTG Auburn provided their senior facility advisor on an as-needed, on-call basis to review existing and new facilities plans and to comment on risks and optimization opportunities. The company’s capable technical staff is able to confidently communicate to their management and stakeholders due to requesting a third-party review.
